No, it is even difficult to get off by paying some bribe.
They will not let you drive the vehicle, will get you a mode of transport to reach home (auto/taxi). The car would be kept in the Police station. Next morning you have to pay the fine which is about Rs.3000 or so. That is more of a generalization that ladies have only breezers. I have a friend who is in to mid twenties. During a binge session in one of our friend’s house she was having four pegs of vodka. We started at about 9 PM and finished the binge session by 3 PM, the next day I was having a hangover till afternoon (of course, I had lost count of my drinks and went to sleep only by early morning). She was perfectly ok and had a addressed an august function in the afternoon, next day. I have another friend who like spirits more than wine or beer. And apart from that she would have pan also. (I am a kid who is yet to enjoy pan or cigar). Anyway these all are part of social drinking and is mostly restricted to parties/occasions held privately at homes and not in outside venues.

think tank i beleive we need to look for rankings in 2010. There may be a very close race between bangalore and bombay.

To make city clean footpaths are must. Now ORR from silk board to mysore road got footpath so much cleaner and dust free. Narrow 3 ft is fine, but badly needed.

It's not only that, in Singapore- chewing gums are banned, so is spitting and littering. They should introduce the same thing in Bangalore.

What about Honking (worst thing thats happening) , cutting green cover without replanting , improved housing , education , hospitals , garbage disposals etc.
most of this can be acheived in a short span with help of private participation. There has to be urban planning which can take the 6 large indian cities to be top global cities(atleast within 50). |

Namma Bangaluru Best Bangaluru
When I wrote that Namma Bengaluru is best city , few people here started commenting about my views ..
i am glad Nammma Bangaluru is best , so many parks so many lakes , so clean , nice weather , civilized and educated people , cheers up ![]() Expats give thumbs up to city, call it the best in India http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/c...ow/5979169.cms BANGALORE: What does it mean to live in Bangalore if you are an expat ? The quality of living here is just great, expatriates say. No wonder a survey says Bangalore is the best Indian city when it comes to quality of living for expatriates . While it is ahead of New Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata in quality of living, it tops Chennai , Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata in eco-ambience .
