Great thread, we have missing a thread like this for Stockholm for quite some time. Quick question though, a lot of these areas you show seem to have architecture from the early 20th century. Was this a period of great expansion for Stockholm?

Looking back at Tegnérgatan from that crossing

Slowly turning up Tegnérgatan

Reaching Sveavägen crossing with Tegnérgatan continuing up the street

Looking back down Tegnérgatan

Turning around looking at the building flanking Tegnérgatan to the left

Flanking Tegnérgatan to the right

Up Tegnergatan it goes

Looking to the left down Saltmätargatan

More of Saltmätargatan to the left

Looking to the right of Saltmätargatan

Continuing up the street of Tegnérgatan

Looking to the right down Holländargatan

Looking to the left up Holländargatan

Continuing up Tegnérgatan

Looking to the left down Drottninggatan

More of Drottninggatan to the left

Looking to the right up Drottninggatan

Turning around and looking down Tegnérgatan

Turning around and Looking at the House where August Strindberg used to live

Looking up Tegnérgatan

Thanks! Yes I too thought Stockholm was missing a bit.

And absolutely there was a great expansion of the innercity, from the end of the 19th century and the early 20th century.

Tegnérlunden
Still Sunday

Arriving at Tegnérlunden

Turn around with the back to the park and look left

Head for that yellow house corner and look down

If you did head for that yellow house corner you'll see this

Where Crown princess Victoria, Prins Carl Philip and Princess Madeleine went to school

Head down the street looking back up the street where the school is located

Looking back up further down from Upplandsgatan

Turn to the left looking down Upplandsgatan

Back a little to better see the church

Walk up Dalagatan and look down dalagatan again

Get up to the park and just take it easy! Now I had to meet a friend.

Thanks!

And yes i have legs!

I won't be doing this look to the right or left thing on all my walks.
Not because it is exhausting to take photos like that, no that is just fun, but to organize it for posting in the thread is a bit time consuming.
At least for the last thred above, the earlier ones where no big deal at all!

So here the Norr Mälarstrand post continues
Photos taken yesterday

Norr Mälarstrand
District Kungsholmen

So lets start from Kungsholmstorg just like in the first Norr Mälarstrand post

But this time the walk goes to the left down Norr Mälarstrand

Continue down a bit

Have a look at the corner house

And then have a peek in at Garvar Lundins gränd

And another corner house

Look a bit more to the left

Move forward and have a look back

Turn a bit and have a close look at the corner house

Next is Jakob Westins gata

Followed by another corner house

Look a bit further up

And move forward in front of this house

And why not just look back

turn a bit and have a look in at Kungsholm Hamnplan

Turn some more and this corner house appears

Walk forward

Even more

Just continue

Keep moving

Well one could decide to look back

Even walk backwards

But that is too far back so head up to the corner and look in at Skillinggränd

Keep moving up the street

After a short while have a look in at Samuel Owens gata

Continue up the road

Look back a bit

And turn to have a look in at Ragnar Östbergs plan

Turn again for the for the final destionation: The city hall of Stockholm

But before one leaves don't forget to look out over the water

Turn a bit

And if you have really good eyes

Bonus

Along Katarina for a while

Perhaps not a strict look to the left look to the right post
No instead more of a feel of the street and not even the entire stretch of the street and even a little detour

Katarina Bangata
District of Söder
Pictures taken yesterday
Tuesday that is

The start of Katarina Bangata

Over to the left side looking back

Turning abit

Backing down the street

Back a bit further down and to the left Skånegatan and to the right Katarina Bangata

Move some looking down Skånegatan and Katarina bangata

Looking down Skånegatan, yes it is the last part of Skånegatan, Katarina Bangata crosses it

Turn and look up the street with the rest of Skånegatan at the end of the picture

Move closer

Get over to the other side and walk up that street

And turn back

An slowy move backwards sideways into Skånegatan

a bit more

And turn to see the rest of Skånegatan

Turn to the right and walk to get back to katarina Bangata

Walk over to the left side of the street

And turn to the left

And turn to the right

Get back to the middle of the street

And turn to the right

Detour! Head to the right up Östgötagatan

Continue down the street

Have a peek in at the yard

Continue down the street and look back

Turn round the corner at Gotlandsgatan

And round the corner again at Bjurholmsgatan

Head up the street

And have a look back down the street

End once again at Katarina Bangata

Head over to the other side of the street

And turn back

Get into the middle part of the street and look back

Though it might look like the end! It is not!

The street continues but not by me

But if you go far enough you'll get to this cool house

And if at the end of Katarina Bangata you choose to continue for a short while through a more modern hood you'll soon end up here by the water

That is about it for today
