A walk up to Mosebacke and further to Katarina Kyrka
District of Södermalm

Start at Götgatan looking up at Urvädersgränd

Head up that way

To the left Katarinahissen

Head to the right

And end up at Mosebacketorg and have a look around

Head up through that gate

Have a look out over Stockholm

Head back to the square

Södra Teatern to the right

To the left looking down Östgötagatan

Turn to the left and look up that way

A bit more to the left and head up Fiskargatan

Head down Svartensgatan

Look back

Back further down the street

Look to the right

And by some reason keep walking backwards

And finally turn around and face the rebuilt Katarina Kyrka who burnt down 1990 which was the second time it also burnt down 1723

End of this post! Next post will be from the area around the church!

A walk round Katarina church
Södermalm

Start infront of Katarina church

Head down Katarina Västra Kyrkogata

Turn to the right and head down Kapellgränd

Look down Östgötagatan then turn around and head back to Katarina Västra Kyrkogata

Untill you reach Tjärhovsgatan

To the left down Tjärhovsgatan

To the right up Tjärhovsgatan and head that way past the fire station

Turn left

And head up Katarina Östra Kyrkogårdsgränd

People relaxing at the church garden

And end where it all started in front of Katarina church

Someone complained about the pictures being too big so I made then smaller! Better or worse?

Up those Stairs and have a look around
Södermalm

At an earlier post From Slussen to Fjällgatan I never went up the stairs this post follows!

Been here before but let's start here at Fjällgatan again

Turn a bit to the left

A bit more and head up that way

So up those stairs

Keep moving

Turn around and look back

And turn around again and head up to that building

When up there look to the right

A bit to the left

Some more

And head down that way

Some old red wooden houses

Look back

Turn around and lean out over the cliff and look at the city

And that's the end of this somewhat smaller post than usuall!

The eastern part of Åsögatan and around that area
Södermalm

A smaller post than usual from a part where poor people once used to live but today it is very difficult to rent one of those red houses mostly owned by the city.

After those little red houses and further up on the hill have a look at the ferries.

Over there Nacka

Head down

That's it for now!

A walk on the Island of Lilla Essingen

Walk a bit further down by the water and look at the view

After looking at the view from diffrent parts along the shore turn around and head inwards to the island

Head up that way

Look to the left first

then keep walking and turn to the left at the end of the street

Walk up abit on that street and then look in towards this street

Now head down to the water again and look in this direction

And in the other direction

Walk to the end of then turn right

Head in that way

Turn to the left and walk that way

Turn to the right

Walk further

Turn around

Head back and turn up this way

And end abrubtly when the battery died infront of an elevator

That is the end of my walk on Lilla Essingen

Storkyrkobrinken

A walk up one of my favorite streets in the old town, the street of Storkyrkobrinken!

Reach Väster Långgatan

Look to the left

Look to the right

Began to walk a bit up Västerlånggatan to the right

But gave up because there were too many people for my liking!

That is the end of this walk and of the pictures I took last summer!

More pictures to come later this summer!

Fantastic update! I really liked the narrow streets at Stora Nygatan and the apartments near the water above

And those sunny days are coming back! Keep updating us

By the pics one can conclude that the living standard is very high, good for Stockholm .

Yes and when it comes to the old town especially on that street, it seems like every tourist there is want to walk up and down Väster Långgatan over and over again.

I think these pictures where taken before lunch time on a saturday or sunday so it was still pretty calm but too much people for me anyway on Väster Långgatan.

The last pictures are particularly beautiful. Stockholm appears to be in perfect harmony throughout, nothing standing out too much and everything is very conservatively restrained.
