It needs to be stated here for the record: Just because some of us happen to comment negatively on some of Hafeez's designs, it certainly does not automatically mean that we're in love with the other monstrosities you listed above. The tower looks like it will stand out among the mass of ugly concrete, but is that what we're looking for at the end of the day? A statement? Something that stands out (in this case, like a sore thumb)? It all depends what you look for in a building. HC's Imperial was never planned with dark cladding (even if a couple renders show otherwise), and even it was, it would be HC who'd have approved the change in cladding colour...just so you know. As for the "retard" Ambani's approval of Perkins and Will's design, he's new money, and that can't buy you taste, so there... No one's against glass and steel here, only if used tastefully and in the right proportion, and you must understand that so-called "modern/ contemporary" architecture isn't all about glass and steel m8, there's so much more to it. SO MUCH MORE. cheers P.S: don't hate on us for voicing our opinions against cheapness

what people need to keep in mind is that for residential buildings a sleek glass covered building is totally non-desirable in terms of floor-space and energy requirements. you need windows and you need a rectangular floor-plate to maximise utility
nobody wants to live in an extremely flashy building. a tastefully done one yes. flashy no |

Just because everything else looks ugly doesnt make HC any good. His designs are not world class. he should design buildings for video games. checkout SOm's website to see the real architects. HC is just mediocre. |

X-posting | Posted by Sun in cityscapes thread
It can been seen on the skyline (u/c with crane right of Antilla). This will look fantastic if they to light the top like in the render. it will change that whole area. Along with the Imperial, Antilla and Orbit. copyright DrRavi

The tower is called Le Pallazo. I remember Sun once posting a pic and pointing it out on wikimapia.
Here's a large render stitched from a flash file on the developer's (Sri Group) website - ![]() The keywords mentioned on the left are the developer's key offerings and don't reflect the tower's use. |

So this is Le Pallazo. Poor Mukesh won't have a view in a few more years. All the neighbors seem to be getting taller.

Eh, Antilla looks better than this. Ugly? Perhaps. Cookie cutter? No.

I think its a good design. The rendering makes it look cheap.

It does look like boxes stacked on top of each other. Did he design it with lego?
