NUDISTS BEAT THE BAN ON SPEEDOS

YOU can’t wear skimpy Speedo trunks at Alton Towers but you’re welcome to swim in the nude.

The theme park that banned the swimwear as “too revealing” last month is to host a naturist weekend at its Splash Landings hotel.

Around 400 guests, including many families, will be treated to a naked disco, treasure hunt and bingo, as well as being allowed to frolic in the buff in the Jacuzzi, tropical pool and water slides.

The nudist weekend on November 13 is being organised by British Naturism.

Rachael Lockitt, of Alton Towers, said: “The Speedos ban was brought in because we didn’t want to cause any discomfort to children and female bathers.

“The naturist weekend will be a private affair. Everyone will know what to expect.”

A spokesman for Speedo said: “We would advise that even naturists should still wear a pair of Speedos for their protection – Speedo goggles that is.”

silly question!!

sorry, you guys. I'm from Brazil and it's TOTALLY normal for a man wearing a swimsuit such as a speedo or alikes... I know it is somehow cultural, but for me it's a silly discussion to raise wether garment is imoral or not, it's a cultural matter.

I just don't understand how come european women are use to come to Brazil and do topless (something girls here never do, but we dont judge who does it nor find it immoral!) but cant figure a man wearing a speedo??? Pleaseee, 100% hypocresy!!!

But, anyway, it's cultural... here we're pretty much open-minded and tend to be shameless to show up our bodies. The always-there-sun and the beaches invited us to build up a body-cult society and men with speedos have definetely their place!

Speedos set for return to British beaches

Speedos, the skimpy trunks favoured by middle-aged men on the Continent, are on their way back to British beaches.

A new survey indicates that demand for the swimwear has soared among Britons, suggesting that holidaymakers could be exposed to more flesh than usual this summer.

According to price comparison website Ciao, there has been a 400 per cent increase in searches for Speedo swimwear in the past six months compared to the same time last year.

Searches for bikinis on the internet are also up 100 per cent on 2009, indicating that the skimpy look will be popular among women as well as men this summer.

The research, which found self-tanning products were also in demand after a dismal winter, is based on more than 6,000 internet searches.

The website also found that Britons still love the celebrity fake tan look of Katie Price and Victoria Beckham, with self-tan products proving as popular as ever.

Ciao UK experienced a slight increase in fake tanning searches of five per cent over last year, with popular brands being Fake Bake, St Tropez and l'Oreal.

Tom Hyde, of Microsoft-owned Ciao, said:: "Everyone wants to look their best on the beach and clearly Brits have never been prouder to get their kit off.

"People are buffing themselves up so they are tanned and smooth from top to toe and are celebrating by looking for the tightest, tiniest and most revealing swimwear out there."

Holy shitballs, you can practically see her uterus.

I myself do not care for speedos, but I don't agree with the ban. If you're going to ban men wearing speedos, I agree that they should also ban women wearing bikinis.

From this point on, I am boycotting Alton Towers.

Don't start that again.

And Erebus, I've posted the aforementioned picture enough times on here - with and without the extra writing - to know that it's officially mooseknuckle.

You are bit sensitive about the old 'mooseknuckle' topic there Butters.

To be fair, nobody likes a mooseknuckle.

That has to be the strangest spam-bottery I've ever seen.
