The reasons for the delay:

"a few factors – the seats, the fittings, together with the training for pilots."

http://www.ausbt.com.au/singapore-ai...ts-march/april

The seats continue to trouble Airbus, it's not for nothing that Airbus has been very critical about the seat suppliers recently.

Who's their supplier? Recaro? Or do they have multiple?

Zodiac and ZIM are the seat suppliers for the Singapore Airlines A350s.

Last year both Boeing and Airbus had issues with Zodiac, delaying several deliveries. American Airlines even cancelled a contract to supply new seats for the 787-9s and their 777-200 retrofit program.

The seat supplier, Zodiac Aerospace, is enthusiastically causing trouble for the 787 just as much as the A350. They were thrown off the A330neo programme recently because Airbus don't need any more excuses.

Zodiac also supplies A350 toilets, frequently late of course.

They claim their seat backlog is down to one frame ( 300 seats) from 6 frames in late 2014 ( 1700 seats) and will eliminate the backlog by September. Hmmmm.

what is it with that black paint around the front windows? just aesthetics or is there another reason?

first i disliked it, but now i start to like it because it makes it look different and kinda badass same reason i liked sowjet planes. they were different. now everything is the same. even though there are hunderts of concepts for next gen planes, no one dares to build them. next gen is probably the wrong word, because the a350 is next gen. what i mean is a totally new generation or concept, not just an upgrage of an existing form. off topic over

smart step by airbus if its pure aesthetics.

Qatar Airways A350 is awesome service. lightweight carbon composite fibers are used in A350 that improve fuel efficiency and enhance comfort for passengers.

What about HS-THA?

Some pictures from HS-THB would be nice. Perhaps it isn't painted yet.

What happens with those planes though? Last week they told in the newspapers that THAI decided to delay their deliveries by 1-2 years.
