Airbus to offer A350-900 aircraft with increased take-off weight

Latest update about Airbus A350-900 aircraft !!




Airbus has unveiled plans to offer its A350-900 aircraft with an increased take-off weight from 2020.The decision will see the company offer the aircraft with a 280t maximum take-off weight (MTOW).

The company will also offer a 2% reduction in fuel burn, with 1% coming from aerodynamic improvements, reported Air Transport World.The first A350-900 for Singapore Airlines recently completed its first flight in France and is prepared to enter the final phase of production, in which further ground checks and test flights would be undertaken.

where we can see the waiting list and order the A350? I was looking at the website airbus but only customer lists

who is this planes's direct competitor in Boeing?? 787 or 777? or is A330neo going to fight with 777?

It is one pair of planes against the other pair.
Depending on criteria one can find a strength in all four aircraft types and most subtypes.
So it is down to the airline's needs and wants...

Th A350 is closer in size and capacity to the 777 and the A330(neo) is more similar to the 787. But - as Bbbut already said - the differences are large enough between all four aircraft to have their distinct strengths and weaknesses.
The 777-9X could also be considered as competing in the A380 segment.

Airbus signs FHS support agreement with Cathay Pacific Airways for A350 XWBs

Airbus has entered a flight hour services (FHS) components support agreement to provide services to Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific Airways' new fleet of 48 A350 XWBs on order, which includes 22 A350-900s and 26 A350-1000s.

Under the long-term agreement, Airbus will provide spare parts, maintenance and logistics services at Cathay Pacific's main base and at selected outstations, as well as flight simulator support.
