For a company that claims they will deliver 50 frames this year ( and roll out 3 A350-1000 prototypes) they are not doing great,

1. They rolled 3 out in March and another 2 so far in April, they should be rolling out 5 a month from assembly now rising to 7 a month in 4 2016
2. Deliveries so far in 2016 are 4.
3. Alcoa the aluminium supplier have hinted heavily that they are not shipping as many aluminium components as they expected in 2016 to the aviation industry ( they have 2 big customers and you can guess the other), if you ain't taking aluminium parts now you won't be rolling frames out of assembly in H2 2016 ....there are question marks over the A320neo rampup too.
4. Even if you can get as far as assembly and mating engines there are the ongoing problems with Zodiac and the A350 toilets not arriving, Zodiacs latest update a quarter back was that they expect to clear the backlog by around september and deliver on schedule thereafter.

So I don't think Airbus will deliver 50 A350s in 2016 as planned and they will do well to deliver 40 at the rate they are going right now. Its looking like 3 a month out of assembly and 3 a month delivered for _this_ quarter, all going well that is.

That points to arond 12 deliveries by end June... or so...and no way will tehy deliver another 38 from then to christmas.

Looking at this list you see a lot of A350s that rolled out of final assembly in various stages of rework and preparations for delivery.

https://sites.google.com/site/a350xw...roduction-list

If Airbus can manage this after assembly (re)work it should not be a problem to deliver 50 A350s this year. Even if the production speed doesn't reach the expected levels. But.... it will be very difficult considering the progress so far this year.

And if these delays also effect the ramp up of the production speed, which now also seems to be the case it could have a knock on effect towards 2017.

Routes for those birds.

Singapore Airlines' next Airbus A350 routes: Milan, Barcelona, Sao (sic) Paulo?

Singapore Airlines could soon announce Milan, Barcelona and Sao (sic) Paulo as the newest additions to its Airbus A350 network map for late 2016.

Earlier this week, the airline removed the ability to book first class travel from Milan and Barcelona on selected days as of September 2016, and Sao (sic) Paulo from October 2016.

Those three cities are currently served by SQ's Boeing 777-300ER fleet, which feature a small first class cabin.

However, the Airbus A350 eschews first class for a 42-seat business class cabin at the pointy end of the plane – which may well indicate that Milan, Barcelona and Sao (sic) Paulo will join launch Amsterdam and Düsseldorf as the first five ports to see the airline's next-gen jet.

There is further evidence of a knock on effect to the production ramp in 2017 and 2018 (C17/18) Leehamnews dug up an investment bank analyst note on Hexcel who supply many composites used in the A350.

Recent Checks Suggest Slower A350 Ramp – Our latest checks indicate that Airbus (as of March 2016) targets 95 and 116 A350 “station 50” assemblies in C17-18E, respectively, vs. the earlier plan (circa November 2015) to reach 104 and 137 assemblies in C17-18E. (For context, “station 50” is where the aircraft wings are adjoined to the body of the plane.) In C16E, the A350 “station 50” target hasn’t changed much (now 70 vs. the prior plan of 69).

We already got the paintjob from the same source last week.

SO how is a non paintjob news AFTER we already got the paintjob??????

Did they paintstrip and then repaint it in the last week, is that the actual news this week??

Or is it exactly what it looks like, more planespotter spam

I don't need or want to hear your commentary on anything I post. I have reported everyone of your posts as bullying and harassment, and they need to stop. You have ruined this thread for everyone.
