Debut of Largest Airbus A350 Signals Triumph of Two-Engined Jets

The shows a video of the first A350-1000 flight. If you ask me the aircraft looks really elegant.

You're welcome.

As for the A350-1000, seeing the pictures of it flying I find it remarkable how different it looks then the 777-300ER even with both planes being almost the same size. And it's confusing, as the A350 is a bit sleeker and therefor should look longer I find the opposite the case. The 777 looks much bigger in everything then the A350.

I had exactly the same impression. It's impressive how massive the 777-300ER is compared to the a350-1000 despite them being of almost the same size, as as you said in every way: the length of the fuselage and especially the engines. The a350-1000 looks like it can still accommodate well a stretch and the a350-900 looks strangely too short now

i think it has to do with the size of the windows that the 350-1000 looks smaller than the 777-300

I think Airbus should work with Rolls-Royce to make available the Trent XWB successor using the Advance technology on future versions of the A350XWB. Imagine a range over 8,100 nautical miles on an A350XWB-1000 derivative without needing extra fuel tanks, which would make it viable as a successor to the 777-300ER for many airlines.

Doesn't the present version of the A350-1000 already have a longer range than the 777-300ER (14.8k km vs. 13.6k km)?

well B777-300ER is just couple of inches longer in length then A350-1000 B777-300ER 212ft 7in (64.80m) A350-1000 212ft 1in (73.78m) so yeah B777-300ER is some inches longer A350-1000 but once B777-9X come out it will be longest twin engine jet in the world B777-9X 251ft 9in (76.7m) (scroll down to specifications in all 3 links >>) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airbus_A350_XWB and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing_777
