That would be the third test aircraft would it not, and later this year it goes for rework and becomes the first or second A350-1000 to be delivered as well.

Airbus has delivered the 1st A350 to Air Caraibes. Here's the official article from the Airbus website http://www.airbus.com/newsevents/news-events-single/detail/air-caraibes-takes-delivery-of-its-first-a350-900-opening-up-a-new-era-in-air-transport-to-the-french-caribbean/ There's also a video where you can see the interiors

Okay, I want to ask:

How many A350 aircraft has Asiana ordered? I saw on Airline Route a few days ago that Asiana will start operating the A350 in mid-May, with regional flights to Osaka, Manila, Hanoi, and Beijing among the first destinations that will be served by the new aircraft from Seoul. And its first long-haul destination will be San Francisco, which will begin in mid-August.

Wikipedia is a great resource for this. Might be a bit out of date, but enough aviation fans pay attention to answer most questions: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...and_deliveries

Asiana has 30 A350's on order:
8 A350-800's
12 A350-900's
10 A350-1000's

Deliveries to start in 2017

Interesting. I believe the model that will come out first would be the A359, then the A350-1000 and then the A358. But, I hope the A358 will be as powerful as the A359 and can fly further with less seats.

Hasn't the A350-800 been dropped in 2014 after the launch of the A330-900Neo?

As far as I know, after Aeroflot canceled it's 8 on backlog this January and Asiana is currently the only airline to have the 358 ordered.

Yep. You are right and the Wiki is sorta wrong. Asiana may convert their order to some other Airbus...or cancel. As Airbus have more than a few dud 'orders' on their books who knows.

I was thinking that Asiana currently has the A333s in at least 2 cabin formats, and an A330-900NEO order is not far fetched.

I guess the reason why they haven't done anything about that order yet is hesitation between the a330neo and a350. As they already have many a350-900s coming into their fleet soon, they are not in a hurry to make the decision, they might actually want to see how it performs first.

Airbus and Aeroflot have agreed to cancel eight out of 22 A350 aircraft the Russian airline was due to receive next year, according to sources familiar with the matter, as quoted by business daily Vedomosti.

The decision comes as the manufacturer plans to close down production of its А350-800 model because it's not getting enough orders, one of the sources said.

The Russian flag carrier still has 14 A350-900s on order. Aeroflot will buy the aircraft if Airbus can produce them in time, the sources said.

Close down, or never start the 800 production.
