The plane looks awful. Looks like a pimped up verision of the 787. The black around the window makes the plane look even worse.

I understand that everyone has its own opinions, but what do you find "awful" on this plane? Could you tell us a bit more?

Sure. I will. The A350 looks like a copy verision of the 787 with modifications. The cabin windows would look a lot nicer with out the black triming. It looks like a racoon.

With all the technology that involves a plane like this and we are arguing about the painting of the cockpit windows?? is that?
Please give me a break. Copy, really ? are you serious ?

The A350XWB will be an excellent plane at the same level as the 787 which is an excellent plane also, AIRBUS and Boeing are the leaders in the industry both deserve respect.

I think the A350XWB is primarily aimed at the 777-200/300 and A340-300 replacement markets, but with longer range so it could fly most of the world's longer intercontinental routes. I expect an announcement fairly soon--possibly as early as the Paris Air Show in June 2013--that Lufthansa will buy the A350XWB-900 as the replacement for the A340-300 fleet.

Let's hope that the rumours about a JAL order are also true.

I think people have trouble with how it looks because it is so different. I agree, depending on the angle it can look a bit strange, the nose doesn't match the curvy lines of the rest of the aircraft but lets face it, the A350 and 787 are stunning aircraft in their own way

The black around the front windows ruins it for me.

Its Finally Happened, Kuwait Airways signed the deal With airbus for 10 A350-900 (with 5 options) with delivery starting 2020 and 15 A320neo (with 5 options) with delivery starting 2019.

The article states that the deal includes the lease of 22 aircrafts from Airbus in the meantime while KU phases out the older planes in its current fleet. The leased birds will be 10 A330's, 10 A320's and 2 A321's, with delivery of the first 2 A321 aircrafts in july and 5 A330's before the end of the year.

Sami Alnesef says, "The more fuel efficient models and the simplicity of the new fleet will drive down costs for KU and bring it back to profitability"

I think definitely without the black!
Think the black version looks so much better. Gives the plane a unique character.

Reminds me how white cars today look better/sleeker with black roofs, and body parts.

Back in the 70s they painted black around the cockpit windows to minimize sun reflection.

They could paint a dick on it. That'd make it unique too.

Commenting on its looks won't make it any less of a plane either.

People it's all about getting use to this new aircraft. After time it will grow on you.

When you think about it the DC-10 was a radical design in it's time as well and we all ended up loving it.
