So I guess they plan on replacing all their 777s with A350s and 787s?

Not just the 777s, also the A330s.

That'd be an incredibly efficient fleet!

Singapore Airlines has announced that they will purchase up to 50 more of our A350 XWBs. "As we move closer to first flight, demand for the A350 XWB continues to grow, especially for the larger models," says our COO Customers, John Leahy.

Hopefully the A350 is going to be the "dreamliner"

Except it's not a dream. It's the Airbus A350 Reality Liner(tm).

It's certainly looking that way thus far.

We do have engine start--but the start was provided by ground power, not from the APU. Hopefully, within the next few days MSN 001 will get engine start after the on-board APU is fired up.

The first taxi tests will probably start within a week or so.

Why does the A350 have A350-900 on the right side of the fuselage, and A350 XWB on the left side of the fuselage..?????

I think it's time they dropped the XWB tag anyway.

What do you mean drop the eXtra Wide Body tag? Is that a modification of the original design of the A350? And what will you replace it with?

Nothing. Why does it need it? A350 seems fine to me.

Absolutely agree. The aircraft about to fly is the A350-900; it's bad enough that the marketing people will not allow it to be called the A350-100 (or -200, assuming the -800 should really be the -100)

It's not exactly an XWB when compared to A380, 747 & even 777. It needs to be dropped.
