The A350 XWB joins the carrier's fleet of A380s and A330s, making Qatar Airways the first airline to operate each member of Airbus wide-body family.

A340 and A330 are the same family.
Airbus families are:
Wide Body: 300/310
Single Aisle: 318/319/320/321
Long Range: 330/340
Double Decker: 380
Xtra Wide Body: 350

So, you're right they don't operate every family as they don't have 300/310!

PS: btw they do have 4 A340-600

This is a Qatar Amiri Flight VIP Aircraft, not a Qatar Airways aircraft.

Qatar Airways don't mention any A310 on their website

Per Wikipedia:
Quote:
The Royal fleet of Qatar Amiri Flight also are painted in full Qatar Airways livery, although they are not part of the airline or Qatar Executive.

QR68 from Frankfurt to Doha was cancelled yesterday (2015-01-31) as the 1st A350 in service went tech.

Apparently there was an issue with the engine hydraulics which is now being fixed in a Lufthansa A380 hangar at Frankfurt airport.

Today's flights QR67 and QR68 are being operated by a 777.

So MSN8 will be delivered even after MSN10. I wonder what went wrong with MSN8.
Rework of these early frames takes over 6 months so it isn't so smooth and fast as Airbus expected. Test frames will need probably about 10-12 months of re-work to bring them to certified specification.

Finnair and Vietnam have yet to announce a specific date for their 1st deliveries. It's still 2nd half / Autumn for Finnair and June/July for Vietnam.
