Why does this plane have so many more pitot tubes than other planes? I thought it was just for testing, but they are in production planes too.

A330s, 777s & 787s have the same number of pitot tubes and probes, they are just a bit more spread around the front of the airplane making them less clearly visible.

The second phase of A350 route launches will include:

The airline will explore launching new destinations with the A350 as well. Possible new destinations with the A350, as stated by the airline, include SEA , IAH and LHR . During daytime, the A350 will be used on short-haul intra-East Asian routes.

Cathay's first a350 will also be delivered at about the same time as Sinpapore's.

I hope and I have the feeling that Cathay will introduce a revised livery with the a350. Seems very likely to me after the rebranding CX has done lately.

Looking forward to it.

Depends on the source. Visiting some of the big N/S American customers. BOG is home to Avancia. ATL is home to Delta and EWR and ORD is home to United. We should wait and see if Airbus releases a press statement.

That gold stripe running along the front edge of the wings seems like an extension of the gold stripe on the fuselage. Would look much nicer if it's permanent (the livery is already awesome without that)

Yesterday I finally flew on the A359 from Doha to Frankfurt. I was really amazed on how good the aircraft is. Will post some pictures once I have some free time.

There goes my hope for a special livery on Finn Air's new A350. Just another boring white Euro livery to look at.
