Gestern Breslau ist gewählt für Europäische Kulturhauptstadt 2016 (zusammen mit eine Stadt von Spanien). Hat gewonnen mit Städte wie Warschau, Danzig, Lublin und Kattowitz. Damit werde zweite polnische Stadt als Gastgeber nach Krakau welche war Kulturhauptstadt in Jahr 2000.

Auch außerhalb der Touristenpfade nördlich der Innenstadt werden so langsam die Gebäude saniert. erst vor ein paar Tagen wurde dieses Gebäude in meiner Nachbarschaft saniert:

Am nebenstehenden Gebäude erkennt man den vorherigen Zustand:

Wenn die drei Hausnummern rechts vom sanierten Gebäude auch fertig saniert sind, ist das schon ne sehr schöne Häuserzeile. Fehlt nur noch das Haus zur Linken.

I like the idea, no matter if it's coming from the EU or from Räuber Hotzenplotz.

Europe =! EU, that's the point.

Anyway, both Donostia-San Sebastian and Wroclaw will be the European Capital of Culture in 2016. We had those double, triple etc. bids over all recent years.
