Ashokan in London!

Hello friends,

I have finally gone through some of my London photos.

I was in London for about a week in the end of July (2009.) I really enjoyed the Tube and how dense the city was. I felt Montreal was empty for about 1 week after I came!! That is how much I was taken by the city.

I lived in Slough for the week, and I used the District Line to come and go back and forth to London. In the city Centre, I mostly walked. I must have lost at least 5 lbs!!! My favorite area in London was the SoHO area and Oxford St.

I also took this opportunity to practice my graphic skills, let me know what you guys think!

I hope you guys enjoy the photos. Let me know what you guys think.

Great photos and hope to see more. What do you mean District Line from Slough. As far as I know, Slough only has a National Rail Station, so you'd need the standard commuter train to come in.

WOW! I love the photos of London. It is most definitely my favourite city in the world. I felt the same way about Montreal upon returning in March 2006.

Well, I took a train from Slough to Ealing Broadway. Maybe I must have mistaken it, you might be right. I paid 5 pounds (!!!!) for a return day pass.

And did you change from Ealing Broadway to the tube? £5 is pretty cheap for a full day pass from Slough as it's quite a way out and not in London's 6 transport zones. The commuter trains went all the way to Paddington if I remember. Anyway, sounds great. Did you get over to Eton and Windsor Castle from Slough. It's a pretty easy walk and quite nice as well.

Yup, then I would get on the tube to Oxford Circus! I did not go see the Windsor Castle, but I did see a couple of castles up in Wales!

I was expecting to see... more than 10 photos

Nice ones anyway. I have remembered my own first impression of London back in 2004. I was blown away by the vibrancy and plurality of the city.
