SSC is not just for construction that is going on, even though that is good to have. It would be great to have some discussions though from people in Wolli Creek on Parks, Reserves, Freeway, Roads, Trails, Traffic flow, Drainage, Flood control, Child/Pet care, Sports events, Youth organization, Senior services, Bike/Walk groups, exercise/Tai chi/Dance classes, Train/Bus services, Shops, Businesses and more. The site has gone quiet for a few days and there must be something going on, or some concerns. There are some meetings coming up next year about the West Connex and I do want to keep our reserve areas from falling victim to west Connex. We must have a lot of families with kids too and sports and recreation activities are essential for them. Lets use this site for all of this. We all live in many different buildings and complexes, but we share a common interest.

Here are some sites that are opposed to West Connex. They have some interesting information even if you don't agree with them.

Also here is the link to the Wolli Creek Preservation Society again, for those who missed it the first time. They do a lot a good work in the area preserving the natural environment.

Hi Guys. We are looking at the news on NSW and the fires and smoke there. Can anyone expand on this in the Wolli Creek area. Thanks

This morning WC is smoky - it was worse yesterday in the city. Very smoky towards Blue Mountains and south to the Southern Highlands. Sorry I have no photos to upload. The breeze may assist in dissipating the smoke - may be a different case in 10 years time when all the buildings are built and the microclimates become increasingly prevalent.

Took our dogs for a walk at about 5.30 p.m. to check out the new bridge over Wolli Creek at Turrella. I took this shot from Turrella Reserve looking towards Earlwood houses. The dark sky is not a pending storm but a smoke cloud. Other areas of the sky were still sunny and bright blue.

This morning Bardwell Valley (5 minutes from Wolli Creek) is very smokey.

The 2nd photo I included for those interested in the wildlife of the Wolli Creek Valley. The photo was taken as we trekked through the Wolli Creek bushland from Turrella Reserve to Bardwell Park. Along the start of the trek you can look across Wolli Creek to the Fruit Bat roost. This picture just shows a small section of the roost, there are thousands of bats there.

Anyone interested in bushwalking this is a "real" bushwalk and very pleasant. It takes about 25 minutes walking briskly. For most of the walk you cannot see "civilization" and can fool yourself into thinking you are really "out bush".

This is the first time I have posted photos so I hope it works!

Wow, the contrast of the sky is amazing!

I tidied up the coding so the images show. Basically you type at the end of the url, with no gaps. For exmaple, below is the coding for your first image, except with the [ brackets replaced with { for demonstration purposes:

Just went down to the Sales Office at Wolli Creek and had a look at the plans for the Shore apartments.
They have the plans for the eastern tower (just behind Watervue and Arc) which they will be building first. The other tower (near the railway line) will be built at a later date. 1 bed both with and without parking, 2 bed (1 or 2 bathrooms) and 3 bed are on the plans. There will be an indoor swimming pool plus a gym on the lower ground floor, much handier for we residents of Watervue and also Arc (I'm thinking of you Seattleaussie!) plus the advantage of being able to use it all year around. There were a few split level two bedroom apartments overlooking the central atrium (with large courtyards).
It also showed apartments on the lower ground floor but apparently that is still being decided (due to the slope of the land they will really be on the ground floor but when you enter the foyer of the building you will have to go downstairs).

Oh! We bought INSIGHT at Gertrude St. They will be removing the scaffolding and painting next month. In December they will start the landscaping. It looks like we will be over in January.

Sorry, I must be going mad as I really, thought you said you bought in Arc. However how exciting it won't be long until you move in!
