Nightlife Frankfurt

Hello!!

We are 5 friends and will arrive this Friday at Frankfurt am Main. We will stay in the city 3 days visiting monuments, skycrapers, museums and the Christmas Market!!! (We have a map with the localitations of the differents things). But we don´t know nothing about Frankfurt nightlife!! We want know some goods clubs with house, dance... music. I have read in Internet a club called U60311, is a good option?? We want go to a club this friday and saturday night.

if you are into house music, consider clubs like präsidium, living xxl, monza club or king kamehameda. they dont differ that much from each other. dont dress too casual. also try a "ebbelwoi" drink somewhere else!

You can see a flyer of the "Uni X-Mas Party" in Living XXL this Friday!!! My german is very bad and I only speak a little english and spanish (because I´m from Spain xD). My question about the party... is an universitary party in Living XXL?? Is a good option for this Friday??? We are students of the Cádiz University (Spain).

In Living XXL website I have seen: "Tickets: AK: € 8,-, VVK: € 7,-."
What is AK and VVK??

AK= Abendkasse = the prize you pay, when you go there at the same evening and buy your ticket there.

VVK = Vorverkauf = the prize you pay, when you buy your ticket in advance

about your other questions: yes it is a students party, so, regarding people and music the club wont be like it normally is anyway. i havent been there for more than three years now, but can tell you the location itself is ok, huge dancefloor, several bars, although a little bit wannabe-posh and cheap glitter.
but that could have changed.

Regarding the sign:

"über 1500 qm party zone" means enough space to dance, get drunk, play soccer and check with whom to get laid this night at the same time.
"in 2 Clubs und 2 dancefloors" i dont know, how to translate that in english. there are no english words for "club" and "dancefloor"
"outdoor-bar: glühwein für alle" : glühwein is some kind of hot red wine with spices, traditionally served only when its cold. if temperatures in germany rise again till friday, they will probably switch to caiprinha. if you go to the christmas market before, you will already be full of glühwein anyway.
"studentenfreundliche getränkepreise" that means that the drinks will only cost as much as a student can afford.
"free welcome shot" means you will be shot
"weihnachts-gewinnspiel" means that if you buy a piece of paper, santa claus may come to you a little earlier, than usual.

under "party floor"
"80ies" means they are going to play stuff that was popular in the 70ies in england and america, in the 80ies in germany and in the 90ies in spain.
"NDW" means "Neue Deutsche Welle": you will have the pleasure to hear a lot of german singing artists from the early 80ies, of which you will probably know nobody except maybe falco and nena. lots of bullshit but also the odd gem in between.

if you are into house music and want to get a grip of frankfurts nightlife, rather follow il fenomenos advice. dont go there,
If you just want to round up a day full of sightseeing with a couple of (more or less) cheap drinks and consider lots of students having a party fun (and if you dont want to take a long way from where you probably are, living xxl is right underneath the current ecb building), then go there.
