Most people think it doesn't snow in Houston, or rarely. I've heard "once every 15 years, it snows in Houston"!

But, this will be the third time in one decade to snow. (2004, 2008, and now, 2009)

I found these on the Houston Chronicle website.
Here's a slideshow link:http://www.chron.com/news/photogalle....html#19469098

And, im guessing these are early morning shots, because snow has accumulated, but these pictures dont show that.

had to post the snow day pictures here.

this one is a gem here:

They put Houston on there list despite the parking lots because they probably think Houston looks a little more sophisticated and doesn't go for a lot of cheap gimmicks.

This is one of my favorite skyline shots of Houston. I think salaverryo has given new meaning to the phrase "not very many".

URL = super large version where you can zoom in and pan around of the following image.
if you can zoom in on the link, you can see the lightning behind the building under construction. kinda cool.

Thunderstorm in Houston last night

I always get weird looks when I run to the balcony with the tripod and camera. Tonight their was the first lightning storm… or I should say… first lightning since we moved in. I took about 20 timed shots altogether and only 4 or so were workable. This was the best one of the bunch.
