Yes, the most stunning pics of Rio are not here, there are too many of São Paulo, but none of Rio downtown, the best brazilian skyline IMO.

Of course Rio and Sao Paulo. If you compare all the envierment not just the buildings I would chose Rio cause the impressive landscapes around it. But if not, Sampa for sure.

The downtown of Rio for me is the most beautiful in the country. Well urbanized and a great mix between new and old architecture.

Rio de Janeiro is unique by its nature. Nothing in the world can be compared.
Sao Paulo is also unique by the density (maybe the biggest density in large area of the world?).

I voted for Rio, since buildings you can build everywhere, but buildings with such amazing landscape around, you can't.

Rio de Janeiro Downtown is the most beautiful skyline in Brazil and Latin America, for me:

Some of these cities skylines seem to awfully resemble one another's. That is other than Rio and Sao Paulo. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing.

Sao Paulo has the best skyline but not as beautiful as Rio with its unique landscape.

I think Belo Horizonte deserves a great place in this ranking:

To me, as an outsider, Sao Paulo definitely takes the cake. It looks like central New York... Just less high but a lot more vast.

Rio has the advantage of the natural beauty of it's habour and perhaps a better harmony between it's tall buildings. But SP wins in numbers, height, architecture and urbanity in my book.

Though I do keep getting surprised by the number of big cities in Brazil with great skylines with tons of tall buildings.

(Should add I'm basing this all in images and reading about the cities - not having actually been anywhere in Brazil )
