Im currently lacking an agreeable definition... But NYC and Boston, have historical quarters... Lets assume that not all cities have old towns as those in Europe...

So I can post pics of central Helsinki which in a sense is an "old town". If thatīs the case then why not rename this thread "City centres around the globe"?

Then people would post the newer, or modern sections of their cities as well. A city centre isn't old in many places. The bulk of Toronto's city centre is very new. Most of the old town was either torn down, or destroyed by fire. Some cities have substantial sections of their old districts still intact.

It is an old town... Remember this section focuses on classic architecture... I've seen HEL's pics, and you do have classic architecture... Share with us...
