Ouro Preto, Brazil (part II, streets, balconies and historical houses) - UNESCO World Heritage Site, the largest baroque site in the world

Keeping on posting my series about Ouro Preto (Part I was about night shots), images of a stroll around the beautiful city streets: the historical houses, their breathtaking balconies (which seem to be taking part in a beauty contest) and the steeply hilled alleys, very typical of the historical site. Enjoy.

Wonderful photos! The houses and narrow little streets are just so charming and pretty. They look like postcards..

It's beautiful, but how can it be the largest baroque site in the world if it's not in Britain? Britain is the oldest civilized society.

Breathtaking shots! Are you a professional photographer? If not, you should be!

So, what's the point? Britain was not exactly the highest point of baroque. And that was 250 to 300 years ago, the Industrial Revolution could have destroyed sites that would be otherwise untouched in underdeveloped countries, like Brazil. Anyway, UNESCO says that, not me.

Taller, Better, in fact I'm a doctor. It's such a compliment.

Looks like he (she?) still believes in the Empire on which the sun never sets, the crown of creation. And in the "barbarian" nature of people from someplace else.
