Could it be a regulatory/restrictions problem with the transport ministry in UG?

do you think the matatus will be threatened once rail transport and roads are improved in the city?

They will have an issue if the rail network is expanded and the trains are more frequent since trains cost much less per KM travelled. But this might take some years so they have time to scheme their response. their main problem at the moment is being banned from the city/cities completely.
The bus companies are another issue. The richer Kenyans get, the more they want to travel with the bus companies I think someone has to go out there and study the market dynamics first before we can determine who will lose to who. |

i think everything can be mainstreamed. i don't why the kenya govt is trying to remove the artist part of the mathrees-colors-its an identity as part of the matatu culture.the indiscipline is not the color or the art-/design/music.its the people.the govt should engage more with the mathree industry to ensure the industry is well run.trying to make conformity is not the way to go.

Wacha mahewa, look at the corners they are trying to squeeze screens into. I have a feeling there will come a time they will have screens on the floor as well.
