Best architecture magazines in your opinion (not only english speaking)?

Hello to all.

We have a super platform with skyscrapercity, I love it, it is interactive, a lot of pictures, but I was wandering, for you, which are the best architecture magazines?
And maybe how they should evolve if an evolution is needed under the pressure of internet, low carbon society (to make paper, print, transport), etc.?

To be precise, think real architecture magazines, not too much interior or deco magazines if you don't mind...

Why I am asking this? Because I don't find a lot of really good and architects targeted magazines.

still interested?

i guess for architects the magazine to peek into is DETAIL - http://www.detail.de/thema_architect...tion_57_En.htm

probably my favorite architectural magazine is THE JAPAN ARCHITECT, gorgeous objects presented with detailed drawings - http://www.shinkenchiku.net/ja_e/

if you want a good insight of mostly starchitect' best works, see EL CROQUIS - http://www.elcroquis.es/Home.aspx?lang=en

the classic, THE ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW, is good if you want to be updated with news and what's going on in the world of architecture but not much more - http://www.arplus.com/

a magazine that focuses on european non-stararchitecture, is A10 - http://www.a10.eu/

also, you might wanna take a look at BLUEPRINT - http://www.blueprintmagazine.co.uk/

there's lots more, of course, but what exactly do you mean by "magazine FOR architects"? something that not only speaks of trends and such, but also features detailed plans etc?

Thanks for reviving the thread.

images remain a source of inspiration and critic, learning process. Examples are important for the development of architecture. I notices that redactional teams are very often amazingly very small... compared to even small size newspapers...

Most of the architectural magazines are about contempary extraordinary buildings. Surely these buildings are remarkable and worthy of an article, but that's not what i seek. I'd like to have a magazine which goes about architecture of everyday life. For instance the architecture of windmills in Spain or farmhouses in Laos. Is there a magazine about these types of non-outstanding buildings?

I like reading the American Institute of Architects - DC edition (AIA DC). It's a quarterly magazine that is focused mostly on the post-modern architectural style, but I find it worthy of a read.

japan architect. has technical drawings for every building featured, doesn't deluge you with thinly veiled adverts for every overpriced product out there, and doesn't sound like a press release for whatever flavor of the month starchitect.

but, most architecture textbooks will provide more information, and more objective information than the magazines.

I'm not an architect but I studied most of the important architecture magazines.

For inspiration I think best are the italian L'Arca and Japanese A+U (published by Japan Architect about non-Japanese architecture). I love how the articles are presented in these two magazines.

Also Technique et Architecture is a well presented magazine.
