I don't speak Spanish, but I think I got the gist of that.

Toronto has probably overtaken Chicago as the Number 2 skyscraper city in N. America.

Toronto couldn't overtake Chicago even if it grows at its current rate for the next 10 years.

As a short example:

Chicago skyscrapers built over 500' (roof height) - 101
Toronto skyscrapers built over 500' (roof height) - 27

Let's not turn this into another Toronto vs Chicago thread.

Agree. All people end up doing is cherry picking data to prove their point of view. On this continent, Torontonians increasingly looking to New York, Mexico City, and Los Angeles these days any way..... not Chicago.

Toronto should compare itself to Chicago as both cities are very comparable.

But Chicago is a bigger city, completely developed waterfront, bigger international business center and a much bigger skyline.

Toronto's skyline is not even 1/3rd of Chicago.

Toronto needs to grow at its current pace for another 20 years to equal Chicago.

I don't think you quite got the point. Here's a hint: quantitative data doesn't tell the whole picture.

Besides, you seem to have missed both Marcanadian and my posts right above yours. First Marcanadian suggest that we not turn this into Toronto vs. Chicago which you immediately ignore. Then I mention that it's a pointless debate because people just cherry pick data to prove their pov which you also immediately ignore.

these actually look much taller then the renders made them look. This is the sort of standard developers should be achieving along the waterfront.

Just a heads up, everyone. This thread is not going to turn into another Toronto vs Anywhere thread, so I think the best thing is to just drop that line of thinking now and let's get back to ICE.

From yesterday. These towers are certainly impressive and are making a big impact on the skyline:

Beautiful stuff! I know yesterday was a difficult day for shooting with all the haze and humidity. Love the second skyline image - RBC is peeking through slowly. It will be amazing to see the Harbour Plaza towers in that frame, along with Ten York.

I love that these are going to make a visual impact from the Lake! I feel like that's the most well known view, and I love that view but I think it's also the view that does Toronto the least justice.

and Chicago, further stagnating. Toronto could move up to second place.
