Is there going to be a large skylight in the John Lewis Store?

Footie pitches are around 110 by 75 yards, or 105m by 70m.

Why did I think the concourse was a double height thing with a couple of shops around the outside? with the roof above it allowing natural sunlight to all parts and not just 1 big window bit in the middle?

Oh, I know why I thoight that, hope.

But, it is double height as some bits of the current concourse are. But the new station will have a much bigger area with the greater height, which will also have the huge dome (window is a bit derogatory for it) in the centre adding to the feeling of light and space.

I'm not sure what your problem is Bachy.

I'm gonna apply for a job at the new John Lewis I fancy going into retail after my degree and I definatly want to come back to Birmingham.
Plus John lewis are nice to employes and give them a share of the profits in a bonus!

Great store design too, this will be a store design to rival Selfridges.

What I do is go to greggs and get a sausage roll, and take it back to them, it does more good than giving money because I don't mean to sound stereotypical but they could be spending it on drugs.

Well they did used to light up Selfridges Green for St Patricks Day and Pink for Gay Pride. I guess because it'll reflect the light be different effect if they tried that with New Street.

any idea why they stopped doing this? i assume it was because it cost to much to change the bulbs. This is the kind of thing we need to show a form of culture
