Are these being constructed now, or being planned for?
Seems like Bangkok is building many rail lines at present...

Yes, is it.

At present, The subway and the sky-train of Thailand are constructing.

However, some line are building, but some are just a project.

By the way, you can see the almost plan in this site.

Coz the frequency of the arrival of trains are infrequent. Not too sure about bangkok, but those KTM trains in KL have laughable schedules; they often do not arrive on time, and despite a big crowd at the station due to late arrivals, nothing is being done much.

If you chance to look at how the crowd build up at the semi-underground sentral station in KL, I often wonder how many people will get killed if there is a fire.

I used to pack at kl sentral. At underground level at around 6pm. I waited more than half an hour. No air condition.it's underground but I don't know why no air condition. It's very hot.and Many people is smelly.(sorry to say this. But it's real) and I was very hungry at that time.
It's the expereance I would never forget.

Many SEA nations are racing to build up their infrastructre in rail lines.
The true victor is the one which can get rid of that 'third world' image, through the design, planning and scheduling of their rail projects.

Still on KL Sentral, would one call it a hub when stations of different lines do not even converge and require commuters to walk across a road, through unplanned links, under the hot sun for a not-so-short distance?

The present KL Sentral is not the end product. When the whole plan is completed, you will see the difference.

so, it will take another decade or two to be completed? Mind you, most of the existing facilities are completed for a decade already. Perhaps I need to remind you that the fundamentals of a transportation hub is to provide convenience to the users of a public transport, what more the hub?

Are you also suggesting while we all wait for the finished product, KL remains to be the 3rd world city while the rest of the region races on?

I think they won't take decade but many be few years! The KVMRT has started and would take few years to complete....for the monorail which need to walk across a road at this moment, will have better access, when the Nu Sentral is completed (which is now under construction).
It is norm for any construction with such scale in Malaysia to take few years to complete. Those projects would never because of others in the region or whether KL is 3rd world city, then they would build it faster or slower just for the reason to catch up with others or not to be 3rd world city!!

So the blue line will now be extended to be a circle line plus an extension? Cool...

Are these new stations underground stations? Any plans to add the number of carriages with such lengths of extension?
