A lot those allegations are false, unsubstantiated and will never impact the program one iota. Remember these allegiations are from the word of a con-man and thief on a revenge binge.

Don't pass me what you're smoking, it makes people stupid.

So how do you explain the mighty SEC not winning a NCAA CFB title between 1981-1992, 11 years? The SEC is on an unprecedented BCS run but it will end, sports is cyclical and the ACC has too much talent on several teams not to capture BCS titles, it's a matter of getting good coaches and matter of time. Asides from a few top tier teams in the SEC as of the last few years, the conference has really looked like the ACC...don't believe the hype...the sports world will flip a script quickly...maybe in a few years you'll see things printed as such: What's wrong with SEC football? Are other conferences catching up??? Was SEC football overrated??? The SEC is back!!! The media loves to sensationalize points to an extreme, when really, the extreme or end points aren't that far apart...the media is locked and loaded and can't wait to relish in the SEC missing or losing BCS title games.

The BCS is the most overhyped garbage in history and to use BCS bowls as a measuring stick is ludicrous. It makes for good hype talk but most CFB analyst/experts know the difference in talent level between a typical Alabama team and Miami team is marginal. Take a look at the NFL rosters and get back to me. Miami will always have loads of talent....get them a good coach (which I think they have) and watch what happens.

Because the same challenges programs like Miami and FSU are having, the Bamas, Oklahomas, etc have been through....get off your high horse, those programs (Miami and FSU) will win some BCS titles, if the BCS is in existence the next 10 years or so.

If those allegations are false, why did Miami declined an bowl invite? To me that signals that they expect trouble with the NCAA.

When the best team in your conference is blown out the a team from the worst conference, im not so sure that a team from the ACC will be in the BCS title game anytime soon. Yeah there are teams like VA Tech and Clemson that will be in the mix in 2012, but both teams are too inconsistant to be serious contenders for the BCS title.

In terms of talent on the field between the top teams in both conferences are not even close, comparing Miami and Bama is a bigger joke and most cfb experts would agree.

But those challenges are self inflicted, as was with both Bama, OU or any other school.

FSU is not a bad program, they came in and got the #1 recruit out the backyard of the SEC, Alabama and Auburn. That a big deal in my opinion. FSU was also a contender for the BCS early this past season, that doesnt sound like a program in trouble to me.

Because their admin is being proactive/smarter than Ohio State's, there will be a minimum of a 1 year bowl ban and possibly 2 year bowl ban in Miami's case. The team went 6-6 or 7-5, I forget, but why not skip the Belk or Tangerine Bowl this year, rebuild team and in a year or so, be ready for the big bowls....1 year will be out of the way on meaningless season.

Some of the allegations are true, but not the bulk, Miami will be punished...scholarships plus 1 or 2 year bowl ban.

You act if as though the SEC has never been blown out of a title game. Not in the BCS era but I remember the drubbing Nebraska put on the Spurrier' Gators (62-24 in the national title game in 1996). Florida was 12-0 and clearly the best team in the SEC that year.

The talent level is closer than you think, again, you're caught in the hype machine but it's a cool. 4-5 years from the now, the CFB landscape will look much different. Clemson was an extremely young team this year and one of the reason for the inconsistency (40+ freshman).

Not sure about your CFB or sports history but the sports pendulum will swing the ACC's way and other places. Right now, LSU and Bama make the rest of the SEC look like the ACC so comparing the top two in the SEC with anybody is kind of a joke, don't u think?

Check the ACC and SEC NFL drafts (all rounds) the last 5 years, it might surprise you but not me. Univ of North Carolina had tons of defensive talent this year, poorly coached, looked ragged.

I'd never joke about any talent in Miami (da U) or South Florida in general....who would...not NFL scouts.

I remember when the NFC totally totally dominated the AFC in the Superbowl....10+ years....first Denver then came New England Pats..nobody, nobody saw that coming, don't mess with the sports gods...they're tricky.

As I stated, good coaching with a brand, that's how you snag recruits. This year, other than Bama or LSU, FSU would be a handful for any other SEC program and who knows about Bama or LSU on a given day....FSU, not a bad program?...see what the hype machines got you thinking..

FSU is probably the number 2 CFB brand in the south behind Bama.

I was giving FSU credit for not being a bad program. I dont know what does being in the " hype" has anything to do with that.

Conference hype, its' more to do with coach and team regardless of conference affiliation.

Any loss of scholarships hurts a program, a good example would be Miami during the Butch Davis era.

Well im not foolish to think the SEC BCS title streak will last forever. But for right now, I dont see it ending anytime soon.

I wouldnt disagree that there is good HS talent in South Florida, but 90% of the time that talent leaves South Florida.

You know there is there is an annual match up of ACC vs SEC in Atlanta. The ACC is 0-3 in those games.

Auburn HC Gene Chizik has hired former Atlanta Falcons DC Brian VanGorder as its defensive coordinator.
