This Burger King is special, it had to adhere to strict building codes and follow the street's architecture to get built here:

Too bad about that Burger King. When did it get built? Everything else is narrow 2-3 story buildings and the BK is a wide 1 story building with a parking lot. I guess it's at least built to the street wall.

I'm not sure, there is a history with it getting built there. Perhaps a native Pittsburgh forum member could answer your question.
