Duranto Express rake is getting used for Kochivelli AC Express.

Duranto Express 12213 / 12214 rake has been utilized for Kochivelli AC Weekly Express. Now Duranto will deprat Delhi on Monday instead of Wed.

http://www.swr.indianrailways.gov.in...Trains2012.pdf

This shows how Karnataka has been once again neglected. To help Kochivelli, they have effectively used this rake which was lying idle at YPR. same rake should have been used fro YPR - MUMBAI as AC express which was long demand for Karnataka.

Now this rake is getting screwed with so many stopages towards Kochivelli. Its really horrible for Karnataka. Again Kerala Loby is strong here and our MoS K H Muniyyappa is not bothered to look after Karnataka interest.

Also 56909 SBC - Hubli Fast passenger ( Hampi Express ) timing has been changed 22:15 to 23:30 which is of no use for Tumkur / Birur / Davangeri / Haveri / Hubli passengers departing from Bangalore.

They have improved the speed time of this Fast Passenger train between Bangalore - Tumkur by 18 Min and Tumkur - Arasikeri by 10 Min and major speeding at Arsikeri - Kadur by 35 Min. And at Chikjajur Junction, SWR has reduced stopage timings by 10 Mins.

With earlier timing of 10:30, they could have made this train to reach Hubli early 9 am in the morning. Problem is rake of Hubli / Chikjajaur - Bangalore is beeing used for this Fast passenger. As this Hubli train generally reaches Bangalore after 10PM, so they have changed the timing to adjust with rake and its of no help to commuters.

Best this would have been, running this Hubli / Chikjajaur - Bangalore passenger towards Mysore at 11PM from Bangalore which could have given Mysore one more Train.

Over all this time table, frequency, extending of trains & rake sharing by SWR Bangalore division is clearly shows, its working for TN & Kerala interest. Its not at all looking for the interest of Karnataka.

This is certainly a disppointment. Though the Primary Maintenance has been changed to YPR from DEE the train does not benefit people of karnataka.

An AC train between SBC/YPR-CSTM would have been great.

i guess not just the Kerala Lobby but also bus operators from Bangalore operating services to Mumbai have lobbied against a fast AC train to CSTM.

I just cant believe that amazing LHB coaches are pulled to Kochuveli instead of CSTM.

Karwar-Yesvantpur day train finally gets departure preference at Arsikere

Quote:
Efforts by Railway Yatri Sangha, Udupi has resulted in railway authorities taking steps to ensure that train 16516 Karwar-Yesvantpur day train via Mangalore Central reaches Yesvantpur at 10pm, instead of 10.45pm or 11pm that it used to do hitherto. This train used to stop at Mangalore Central, Sakleshpur, Hassan and Arsikere stations enroute for more than time allotted to it, delaying its arrival at Yesvantpur beyond scheduled arrival time.

RL Dias, president of the Sangha, stated this caused a situation where the elderly and women found it difficult to reach their destinations in Bangalore at that late hour. Since this train has no sleeping accommodation for passengers, long hours of journey for those commuting from Karwar to Yesvantpur left them fatigued, Dias said, adding this was happening mainly due to crossing preference given by railway authorities to other trains at Arsikere station.

Train 16516 reached Arsikere at 6.50pm and was scheduled to depart from there at 6.50pm. But, railway authorities gave preference to Kurla-Yesvantpur, Hubli-Bangalore Jan Shatabdi, and Arsikere-Bangalore-Mysore trains, Dias noted.

Responding to pleas from the Sangha, railway authorities have since started giving preference to the day train, he stated, adding that efforts are similarly on to get the arrival timing of this day train to Karwar changed.

Departure timings changed

Likewise, departure timings of train 16518 Kannur-Mangalore Central-Yesvantpur train from Mangalore Central railway station has changed, Dias stated. The train, which earlier reached Mangalore Central from Kannur at 7.15pm and departed here at 7.45pm ,is now arriving at Mangalore Central at 6.55pm and leaving at 7.20pm with effect from July 1. Dias urged all commuters using this train to make note of the changed departure timings.

Solapur ->YPR used to run for 3 days now its daily so they add 1 more to 12 trains already existing for Solapur->BLR and reduce the capacity for Bijapur (3 existing trains to BLR 2 are useless for most of us) and call in GolGumbaz express.

Any idea on the alignment route for these 2 New Railway Lines.

Sakleshpur - Chickmagalur ( If it was Kadur-Chickmagalur-Sakleshpur even Better)

Kengeri - Malavalli
