they can remain bowl structure..but they really need to change the roof, entrance, landscaping, seat, tiles and many things..and they already change the original design once ,so its not the problem

I think they should restore the stadium so that it will look as "authentic" as possible as how it was during early post-merdeka days.. then they can build a multilevel garden+pedestrian walkways surrounding the stadium, make it look like the Gardens in Singapore perhaps with light and fountain display and mini galleries showcasing the history of Malaysia and artworks by Malaysian artists..

i dont think by having a facelift all the history will be gone... take acropolis museum in athen for example.., they built the new one and complimentary with the surrounding area nicely.. the coolest thing is that the museum is actually sits in one of the the ancient ruin.
As for the stadium merdeka, if iam involve in this project i will tear down half of the building and built something modern/state of the art kinda of thing and jive in with the other half of the original building of the stadium. a mixture of old and new... ![]()

stadium negara is ok to renovate..just not stadium merdeka
KV no need another big ass stadium after bkt jalil n shah alam..stadium merdeka can function like marina bay floating padang,..not so big,but big enough to do whatever ceremony
