Nope,I didn't. Some choir rehearsal was there and for sake of my hearing,I didn't go to the church I'll take few photos of interior when they are not practicing

Photos from the promenade. It's more of a construction site now,as workers hurry to finish it for this year's White Lady Days in august (reconstruction started last year)

67 'Bridge to nowhere' Promenade reconstruction project also includes rebuilding few non-existing structures. This here is a beach 'bridge',common sight in resort beaches all around the world in early 1900s. Btw,what you see across the gulf,is Noarootsi / Nuckö parish. Historically Estonian Swedes lived there,but WW2 really cut the Swedish population there (currently somewhere around 10% are Swedes)

73 ..to reach Väike-Viik. It's a tiny enclosed bay,connected to sea with small dikes & overflow gates. For those of you,who haven't got a clue about Haapsalu shape - it's a H-shaped,with H's bottom connected to mainland.

93 Typical Soviet era industrial building. You'll find similar ones in almost every small town in Estonia. This one here was originally logistic & bus base,currently it has in addition to bus company various small businesses there.

The promenade has also been renovated so Haapsalu is even nicer now there than before! I go there each week as a guide on a tour from Tallinn. It is definitely one of my favourite places in Estonia.

Yes it does Are you planning to just visit Haapsalu and have a vacation there or are you heading to some specific event in Haapsalu in the summer? There's lots of stuff going on there

No, we will not just visit Haapsalu (we will start in Tallinn for two days and after Haapsalu we will be heading for Latvia). In Haapsalu, we are intending to visit the Aiboland museum, the castle and possibly also take the ferry out to Ormsö. Can you recommend something else in Haapsalu or in the near area?

Ungru manor ruins outside Haapsalu. You can't miss that,as it's right next to Haapsalu-Rohuküla highway and you'll be driving along that (ferries to Vormsi depart from Rohuküla).
If you are adventurous,then there's also quite good spot outside Haapsalu,where you can see entire town. On the coast is some anonymous artificial hill - Map to it's location. From there you can see almost entir town and coastline (camera with telezoom lens is recommended! ) There's also a nice lighthouse not far from it,but I honestly can't remember how to reach it from some roads.
And as you are planning to visit Aiboland museum,then you should definitely try to visit Vormsi/Ormsö island. Really atmospheric place. Word of advice - the island is crawling with snakes (literally!),so you might want watch you steps there.
And drive around in Noarootsi/Nuckö parish and in rest of Läänemaa. Nature is the most impressive thing there,but you'll discover other things too.
Imho,Haapsalu itself can be best enjoyed by walking. It's rather compact and in few hours you can see everything in the city. Make sure that you don't miss the railway station and promenade
