Although I am a citizen of the United States, I believe Rio should win the 2016 Olympic bid. The U.S. has hosted the events many times, so it's time to share the events with the rest of the world too.

The choice is only two weeks away. Hopefully we can have a last thread that is civil and fun before the vote.

Rio because of ambiance and continental equality. Followed by Tokyo as the world's largest city, and one of its coolest.

Rio de Janeiro.

Simply because last year has been already in Asia, next time will be in Europe and the USA had it aalso already many times while I can't recall the Olympic Games having taken place in Southern America.

However, in the end this should be only a matter if all other important aspects of an applicant city (Plans for sport venues, no. of hotel beds, security etc.) are considered to be fulfilled.

Chicago.
People don't hear a lot from the midwest, and I think they would be surprised on how well we can handle sport events.
Having the Olympics in the US before means nothing to us, because the midwest is not the south, east, plains, or west, so if any of those regions get it, for us it might as well have been Spain.
Now, if we could get bullet trains between our grand midwestern cities, that would help alot.
Chicago would get a lot out of this, but it means a lot for the great lake states also.

Rio de Janeiro, just because I live here.

Othewise, I would choose Chicago or Rio yet.
