Btw, what are those Manila skyscrapers being built in the pictures posted by isaganizenze?

You know, those 1960s Manila photos are real pretty aren't they. Though they look more like paintings to me..

It would have been nice to keep Manila's roads like that, and the grass like that - but with all that pollution the islands (in Roxas Boulevard) stand no chance of keeping pristine grass. Nor could it handle all the traffic (and popular 4WD vehicles) with those miniscule roads. And is that the US Embassy in the foreground in the last photo? It looks too clean and unguarded to me

Huh. I didn't know all the CCP complex buildings sat on reclaimed land. I thought the land was naturally there. I should've realized it sooner...

The INC Tondo house of worship on Luna and Moriones Streets in Manila is currently undergoing renovation. Fernando Nakpil-Zialcita in hs article "A Skyscape of Spires" in The Filipino Heritage: The Making of A Nation, says that the towers of this worship edifice echo those of Muslim minarets. Though finished in the 1960's, this house of prayer in that populous district of Manila remains one of the Church's largest with a seating capacity of 5,000.

Hindi lang pala yung Manila City hall ang kabaong-shaped, yung buong block na kinatatayuan nya hangang sa lot ng Met, kabaong-shaped din pala.

I think he was asking me if I am member of the INC since the members address each other as "kapatid". Yes I am.
