possibly, but i am more leaning towards intentional. Eastern 37, if you are referring to me, i am far from worked up about it. Little do i care in fact. I was highlighting a possible issue for developers in context of development process regarding their renders and copyright and their leasing, rather than getting an Apple store or not. . Didn't think it was going to be an Apple Store.
Everything about the store didn't follow the usual Apple Store process (or lack thereof)

Wonder what it will be.... probably just talking it up again. Will end up with a Nextbyte or something.

Maybe the Mac 1 guys on James St are simply moving to here.

Seems likely, though again My Mac from Sydney and Melbourne are not ruling out a store here.
Seems a bit odd to have a huge store for Mac 1 but anyway. Be also interesting to see so called high end retailers go in. I suppose being not far from James Street people will drag their sorry behinds up so hopefully some big names not usual valley fashion designers who don't get a look in south of the boarder. |

Aren't Mac1, MyMac and NextByte all Australian companies rather than a "US-based Apple reseller" ? Maybe we are getting someone new from the US...and US based reseller's already open in Australia?

Perhaps so but we will find out in the next few months, even Apple can't keep secrets.

If there is one thing I'll miss when i leave Brisbane it will be that I won't get to see this project finished. This plus the multitude of other developments all within a stones throw will make the Valley SO much better. Exciting times for the area I think.

I'm pretty sure they are pouring cement for what looks like the third tower this morning.

It has the potential to be a Docklands type development, without all the issues Docklands have. I think that is what they are aiming for. The key is still Waltons becoming something and a clean up of the sleaze. (note: I have no issue with the adult/strip/gay cruising things, maybe they will never go, but, it would help a lot, but the Valley just will never be 'clean' in many's view).

Wow! Didn't even recognise Brisbane in that photo! Those one way roads definitely need to be converted. They kill the valley's streetscape activity.

Do you really think it has that much to do with them being one way?
I'm not sure that it would help. Traffic volume would still be immense. |
