![]() Those who actually go through with the whole deal here in the US must be passionate about Qurbani, or great meat eaters. Why go through all the trouble, mess and goriness of it, when you can either donate that money or place an order at a halal butcher shop? |

You said it right. I used to do it every year but once Qurbanir Eid started to fall in mid winter in Minnesota, I said no more. Just send the money home where people are more needy and will actually enjoy the meat feast. The sunnah is to do it yourself, but I think if it's done on your behalf, that's fine too.
