I like all of those reconstructions. I really like the one in Hvar, Croatia. I disagree with ThatOneGuy, as I think it is being put to serve a useful function, and will obviously look like a reconstructed 15th century gothic building, rather than a "somethinf from Disneyworld."

The Saxon Palace must be rebuilt. Period.

The neo-classic looking facade hardly could cost all that much and one could debate the extend of interior reconstruction.

Yes, they had put effort to make it look original according to typical dalmatian architecture and surrounding houses of gothic period.

Oh my ... I had no idea that Rotterdam did look like that before WWII.

How sad they didn't and "couldn't" rebuild much of those old houses. Looks lovely today too, but wish it was still the same with the high rises around.

Well, this place on the image is absolutely unrecognizable today! Nothing remains from here.

Is that the part where the skyscrapers stand today?

I was referring to city walls. The house looks great.

Unfortunately, the Palace of Tuileries itself was never rebuilt...

I really wish they would someday follow the example of Polish, Germans and many other European cities and rebuilt Tuilleries too ..

I dunno, somehow I think Paris can do without the Tuilleries. I somehow like the open courtyard of Louvre that its destruction created.

I agree the present layout of the Louvre is wonderful. Much more relevant would be to rebuild the destroyed "Les Halles" a terrible loss to Paris and could easily be reconstructed at a much lower cost than the Tuileries Palace.
There are some 70's horrors around Les Halles, they would be no loss!

Actually the grand vista and axis of the Champs E'Lyses was designed terminate at the Palais d'Tuillieres (sorry for my horrible French spelling) with the Palais gone and the open courtyard, the axis is off, and the terminus of the vista is destroyed. I think it would be really great for the city to rebuild the palace and restore the city-scape to how it was designed to be from before the time of Napoleon I
