Really beautiful! Even though the pics in the previous pages were partial reconstructions, i think everyone should be glad that the atmosphere at least was preserved... Specially in Nüremberg, which sitll holds a classic skyline unlike Frankfurt. I wish i could share some pics, but Peru is not in Europe .

You have to give it to Croatia, for rebuilding those buildings with just about 10% of original structure remaining, well done

Here are some historical reconstructions from Ukraine:

Kamianets-Podilsky castle, late 80's:

Halych castle, 1800's

Renovated 15th C tower in Lviv:

In Ukraine priceless architecture was demolished in the "peacetime" of 1930's to erase national identity.

St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery in Kyiv. Originally built in the middle ages (11th century), it was renovated in the 1720's in Ukrainian Baroque style. Then senselessly blown up in 1930's. It was rebuilt after Independence in 1997.

Intentionally blown up by the soviets

Completely rebuilt. Some original frescoes were returned from Russia where they took them to before demolition.

Uspensky Cathedral in Kyiv. Built in 1073—1078. Facade was reconstructed in the 17th century in Ukrainian Baroque style. It was intentionally blown up by the soviets in 1941.

here are some from Mostar Old Town
Before and After War

The Old bridge which was build in the 1500's was completely destroyed.

This is an image after the war

Just ahead would of been the connection between the two sides.

shortly before the bridge was bombed and destroyed

and it is today, almost all of the old town has been reconstructed like it used to be ...there are still some buildings left but hopefully soon they will be reconstructed as well.

here is a recent image, about 75% above was destroyed after 95'
