Very nice piccies as usual mate. Looks somewhat colder there than in Wellington or Auckland.

Wow, what a great place! Queenstown and the general environs remind me so much of the Canadian Rockies and the Sierra Nevada in California.

These pics were taken mid-Winter and yes it is much colder than Auckland and/or Wellington but much sunnier. Every time that we have been there it has been sunny for days on end - just my kind of place Thanks for the compliment mate

Bugger - two weeks too late so many miserable faces because the ski fields were closed. I am just glad that it has finally come - what a slow start to this winter. Flowers have started blooming up here in Auckland - strange things man

It is a resort town with amazing scenery, adventure sports, vineyards etc. etc. etc. There are quite a few ski resorts in the area and most people base themselves in Q'Town. It is also known as the "Adrenaline capital of the World" - if you love exciting things then this is the place for you
