Yet another of Toronto's ridiculous compromises that serves no one well. The old building is just a shell and just looks stupid, while the tower looks absurd at street level. We need to stop trying to cater to different interest groups when it's clear that a clean slate is required. This looks like it will end up being as big of a joke as that one on Bloor. Someone develop a spine please.

Agreed, this is going to look so stupid, the recreated heritage building is poorly incorporated and neither new or "old" look like they are meant to be together.

It didn't look like they kept any portion of the old building during demolition, so if it is all new, then what is the point? Maybe there was some condition by the RCMI for the recreation in order to go forward with the sale of the site (along with their having some space in the new building).
