Looks like they also added a railing to the roof as well, or is that temporary?

Doesn't appear in final renderings, however they also cleared up a large amount of the crap on top of the roof in those renderings, so it's tough to say.

With those new fins on top, does that mean Toronto has its first supertall? Or is the 298 metre mark up to the mechanical box?

Even if they would count it, i still wouldn't care if it would be the first Canadian Supertall....If you really want to make an impression, just add a few floors. adding fins or oversized antennas everywhere wont help the cause.

The original post mentioned "a Canadian Forces Hercules plane buzzed over the downtown" that day.

What are the fins for? To mount a new lighting scheme? or just railing?

The railings looks fire-hot. Hope it stays permanent.

Will the building be wider because of the new glass. If so how much wider?

Won't be any wider, in fact I believe these pieces are slightly thinner than the previous marble.

The antenna mess on the roof is the only thing that turns me off about FCP. Now that it has a new cladding that looks fantastic, the mess on the top looks even worse to me.

Yep the mechanical is a giant mess. Things like this make me wonder what else isn't in order. People who don't take care of details because they think others can't see it aren't people I put much faith in.
