BPP Brookfield Properties, BPO refinance First Cdn Place
1 December 2009 Canada Stockwatch Brookfield Properties Corp. and its Canadian-based subsidiary, BPO Properties Ltd., along with ownership partners Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) and Alberta Investment Management Corp. (AIMCo), have completed the refinancing of First Canadian Place in Toronto, with $310-million, five-year first mortgage bonds. CIBC World Markets Inc. and RBC Dominion Securities Inc. acted as agents on the transaction. The financing was completed at a fixed rate of 5.367 per cent. Proceeds from the financing will be used to repay the existing first mortgage bonds which matured on Dec. 1, 2009, and to pay for costs associated with the building's rejuvenation program previously announced in Stockwatch on Sept. 23, 2009. "The ability to execute a large-scale refinancing in a still challenging credit environment underscores the market's high regard for premier assets like First Canadian Place," said Tom Farley, president and chief executive officer of Brookfield's Canadian commercial operations. First Canadian Place is a 72-storey, 2.7-million-square-foot, Class AAA office and retail complex located in the heart of Toronto's central business district. Canada's tallest office tower, it is an iconic and dominant feature of the Toronto skyline. The property is currently 95 per cent leased and has been the headquarters of the Bank of Montreal since the building opened in 1975. |

^ There's no First Canadian Place in the video. It's about Yonge-Dundas Square a few blocks northeast.

Well, it was posted in the First Canadian Place thread so I'm sure there is something about the tower in the video.

what if there will be at least 2 more skyscrapers and both taller than FCP filling the gaps!
hope to see that gap being filled someday soon too.
