2010 Vancouver Olympics venues

I recently got back from a trip to the Northwest. I shot some pictures of the venues for the upcoming 2010 Winter Olympics, to be held in Vancouver in February. I've included links for information about each building. I wasn't able to make it to every venue in Vancouver, but I got most of them. Also, I didn't bother with the stuff in Whistler because it's mostly ski slopes and there wasn't snow when i was there.

BC Place - Opening and closing ceremonies + medal award ceremonies

Canada Place (Main media center)

The Athletes' Village

Nice pictures. Thanks for showing some buildings that we'll be seeing in a few months.

Are they really playing hockey in that small arena?

Small arena?

That arena is home to the NHL's Vancouver Canucks and has a capacity of over 18,000 and has 88 executive suites!

I guess he meant the UBC Arena.

Where are the speed skating events going to take place? And do you have pictures of the venues at Whistler, too?

GM Place/Canada Hockey Place will have 19,200 seats as the main hockey venue during the Olympics. The small arena you refer to is at the University of British Columbia, it'll serve as the secondary hockey venue with 8,000 seats....that's much larger than the secondary ice hockey facilities at Torino and Salt Lake.

Great pics btw!
