Then I started taking pictures to the new "M" signs, since they are pretty much different from the previous ones (on Metro A, B and B1 lines). They differ a lot also between themselves: in the Lodi-Torre Spaccata part they are on top of a marble squared coloumn.

A Giardinetti niente M...

Between Giardinetti and MonteCompatri - Pantano instead thy built these prisms, black with white name and red M on top:

And the last two pics: Finocchio and Pantano.

Very nice indeed! I like the fact they've gone with screen doors this time. Plus the stations appear to be bright and well lit too, quite a contrast to line A.

Pleasant change not to see graffiti too.

Screen doors are there because Metro C is fully-automatic, just like Rennes metro (except the fact that these Roman trains carry 1200 passengers).

No worries! The jerks will catch up soon. Graffiti will come into the trains for sure.

I hope they won't.

Actually, I've been in the depot, and every fence is protected by an alarmed wire. Plus, there are tons of cameras and at least 5 guards.

Central A lines stations are quite dark in general but I guess that was too much. Probably some lights were broken. New stations from B1 line and C line are really bright.

A few more videos from Rome here.

Number 1 - Policlinico station on Line B. One of the new trains mercifully graffiti free!

Number 2 - Colosseo Station on Line B.

Number 3 - Termini Station on Line B.

Number 4 - Termini Station on Line B. Two trains arriving.

Line A's trains have no graffiti but line B's trains are full of graffiti, even on the newer rolling stock.
Why such a difference between both lines ?

Because B line depot is not as controlled and secure as the A line's.

I saw a fair amount of graffiti on the line A trains too. It was generally a rather prominent feature of Roman public transport. That said, the city itself was really quite mercifully free of graffiti. I expected far more than I saw!

What are the main differences in security between the 2 depots? Gates, cameras, personnel or is one above ground and one underground?
