After Athens it is the only truly metropola in this part of Europe. It has about 2 000 000 people.
"in this part of Europe"? Which part? In the Serbian part maybe. What about Bucharest(pop.2 mil.), Budapest(pop.1.7 mil.),... ?
"it has about 2.000.000 people" You mean 1.100.000, don't you?

By the way, congrats...nice way to start presenting us the city, by posting a traffic jam on the very first photo.

Jealous ... Evil is evil and not good

It is designed as a universal hall for sport, cultural events and other programs. With the total space that covers 48,000 square metres[2], and a total capacity of up to 23,000 seats (for handball, volleyball and basketball events; standard 25,000 seats)

So please, don't post 19 982 number. Ok? Have a nice day

They can not coz they have strict work time of cafes, discotques, people have funb just during weekends, while Belgrade lives 24/7... You can come on Tuesday day or 3 am and have fun in some "splav" on Sava or Danube. In London you can't... or if something works you won't find bunch of happy dancing group of domestic and foreign persons... For more infos read the English, American and other newspapaers, web sites, TV stations, etc which recommends Belgrade as a must for party and fun... don't be jelaous

Montreal ranked world's number two party city after Belgrade

http://media.www.mcgilltribune.com/m...-3840287.shtml

See... Montreal couldn't beat Belgrade... and you can imagine for the rest cities

Belgrade is making a comeback with a reputation as a 24-hour party city.
says
http://www.stuff.co.nz/travel/international/540887

belgrade has become the balkans party city

http://www.independent.co.uk/travel/...y-1651037.html

Belgrade declared world's best party city
http://www.inbox-online.com/page/blo...id=89&blogId=4

ETC ETC ETC... hope you are satisfied so we mustn't prove more

Step by for good party and a drink.

With a population of 1,630,000 (official estimate 2007), Belgrade is the third largest city in Southeastern Europe, after Istanbul and Athens

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belgrade

For example...
But in Belgrade live more than 2 000 000 people, coz there are a lot of people who rent flats so are not registered (like me who study there for example) but work or study

About the geographical position it is said by foreigns... why? Because Belgrade lies on confluence of two great European rivers, on natural and shortest crossroads from western and central Europe to south Europe and Istanbul (Asia minor)....
Because of its position it was properly called "the gate" of the Balkans, and "the door" to Central Europe.
http://knol.google.com/k/belgrade#

ps. It is not nice to quote person who has been banned so can't reply. At least not fair, right? It's like you hit man who is hold with others. Not brave. Fortunately I had time to reply and find sources for the most of your questions.

Bye bye

If you consider Belgrade to be in SouthEastern Europe, than where is Bucharest? In Asia?

That's probably the case in most of the big cities.(i also lived like that for a couple of years) But i'm talking about official data. Which says:

1.Istanbul - population(within city limits) 12.700.000
2. Bucharest - pop. 1.950.000 (city), 2.150.000 (metro)
3. Sofia - pop. 1.403.000 (city), 1.450.000 (metro)
4. Belgrade - pop. 1.180.000 (city), 1.630.000 (metro)
5. Athens - pop. 745.000 (city), 3.600.000 (metro)

I know where Belgrade lies, but how does this make it the 3rd best geographical position in the world??? After which criteria? Are there some categories, of best and worst geo. position? Does this bring some profit to the city?

Don't understand me wrong. I like Belgrade(i was there many times), but i don't like it when people are posting rubbish. What kind of text is this: "it's the only city in Europe in which there is 24/7 party.....etc..etc." A 5 year old could write something more intelligent and useful to describe this nice city. (no wonder he got banned)
P.S. don't offer Wikipedia as a source You know that everybody can post there, and the infos are not always to be trusted.

I posted the number which is offered by the official site of the arena! But if you say it's not true, than you must know something they don't. Maybe you designed it, or you counted the seats personally? http://www.arenabeograd.com/en/nodes/show/28/arena
An why should i be jealous? Are you stupid? Do you think that i'm 10 years old or what?
BTW: Bucharest is building a 55.000 seats stadium with retractable roof. As basketball is not so popular in Romania, it should do it for a concert or something, don't you think? So no reason for me to be jealous.http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=588527

I think you have never been in London or Berlin my friend. It's ridiculous to even compare the clubs and pubs form Belgrade with those ones (and yes, you can find huge parties even at 7 o'clock in the morning). Don't just copy/paste some links from articles or blogs(written 100% by serbs), take a trip and see for yourself. This is my only comment on this subject.(i can't even believe that we are arguing about something like this)

It's nice that "you won Romania" but you should take this discussion on a forum where people are talking about football matches and results. Was it really necessary to open an account on SSC, just to inform us about a football result?

Oh God, I just have to comment. Why are you fighting, anout which city has more population, who's arena is bigger, and has more seats?
This thread is made to represent an city to people who'd like to travel somewhere, who'd like to meet other cultures.
Anyway, Belgrade has population of 2,000,000 citizens. Serbia has 10,000,000 people.
The world known travel agency said that Belgrade is the best city for NIGHTLIFE. The football result also says that Serbia has good football players, and that's part of the culture, good sportists.
