I propose changing the thread Tube map overhaul, September 2009 to something like
Tube Map | London Underground | Produced Versions |

I am a bit uncertain about tagging it U/C, as this seems to imply building work. I would prefer something like Published. This would enable a second thread with the Fantasy.

Could this thread be renamed, given that Deutsche Bahn are proposing to run trains through the tunnel now!

Name Change

Should be Northern Hub, as that's what it's been called for a while now.

As Sirstan74 suggests, could we have a name change as well please? It 's U/C.

There are currently 2 concurrent threads about the recently approved Leeds Trolleybus scheme, one in the Transport/Infrastructure forum:

http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=1527090

And a longer running one in the Leeds forum:

http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=374570

I don't know which would be the correct place for a transport project in Leeds but could the possibly be merged into one main thread..?

The original Tbus thread was mainly a Leeds discussion, originally created before plans were even announced to install trolleybuses there.

Now that the scheme has ( seemingly ) been given the go-ahead, I thought it might be wise to bring the discussion to a wider audience, especially amongst those who regularly discuss transport issues.

I don't have any hard and fast preference either way - there are both advantages and disadvantages to the idea of merging the threads.

Totally agree with bringing it to a wider audience, and of course meant to disrespect by requesting a merge just now there are 2 threads discussing the same thing in 2 places, there's the risk of info being posted on one and not the other, so just thought it would be easier to bring them together....

That said I don't quite understand what goes in the Transport forum - Edinburgh and Blackpool's tram extensions are in there for example but Manchester's is in the Manchester forum... go figure

That's right - and for an extra dose of crazy, there's another transport thread in the City Talk section.

If the threads are merged and put in the Transport section, then Leeds forumers who normally stay put will have to come out of their comfort zone and post there. Conversely, if the thread is kept on the Leeds section, then other transport buffs will probably rarely look at it.

*Moderators* - is there any way of doing a 'Picard Manouvre' merging the threads and having them appear in two places at once? A sort of 'mirroring', perhaps?

PS. Come to think of it, there's also another Trolleybus thread rattling around in this section somewhere.

Keep it as it is I say. Most projects have one thread here and another in the city forums.

As three years later permission has now actually be given now would be a good time to change the thread title. - "Future DB services from London to Europe" perhaps.
