10. Jin Mao Tower - Shanghai/China



9. Guangzhou West Tower - Guangzhou/China



8. Willis Tower (Sears Tower) - Chicago/ABD



7. Nanjing Greenland Financial Center - China

5-6 Petronas Towers towers (equal in height) - Malesia

Hong Kong only has 1 entrant in the top 10. How weird is that? I think it was in around 2002 upon completion of 2-IFC that we had 4 entrants! Before that, we had 3 entrants in the top 10 with the completion of The Center.

Dramatic changes like this tend to happen during major building booms, especially when considering the last one was the largest ever.

Don't forget that the Petronas Towers are counted twice here
But it's true, that's China's revenge for HK's individuality I guess..

All in Asia except Willis/Sears. Weird how things have changed in the space of a decade.

yeah the usa are seriously lacking in supertalls. china is by far #1.

In a few more years, the list will look different again. From the wiki website, i think they are missing the Beijing world trade centre. Funny enough, out of the top 10 list, i like Jin Mao the most, looks so impressive. Petronas and west tower isn't too far behind.
