The condo buildings in the picture called "Body type Hwy 401" are actually located in Toronto inner suburbs approximately 10-15 km directly northeast of the waterfront.

The glass towers surrounding the Rogers Centre and CN Tower are part of a large development called "Cityplace". A planned community initiated about 8-10 years ago (?) led by Hong Kong Developer Li Ka Shing.

a 1 bedroom plus 1 den unit in a typical "Cityplace" condo is currently running from C$350,000 to C$375,000 (including 1 parking spot) or 262 to 282,000 Euros at today's exchange rate. The size of this unit would be around 600 to 700 sq ft. or 56 sq metres.

The older Cityplace buildings are starting to show its age (i.e. "Apex") and you can tell by the interior that the quality of material used was not that great. The newer buildings seem to use better quality building materials and finishes but I have not stepped in one yet so I can't really say. The only advantage of living in the area is location to the waterfront, which is about a 5-10 min walk away. However, the immediate area is surrounded by major roads, the elevated expressway and the railroad tracks. This leaves the area sort of isolated from the rest of downtown.

Also, I find the Cityplace condos are filled with single 20 to 30 year olds, and if you're unlucky enough to live beside renters, you will notice a University style frat house (or dormitory) environment where they invite annoying kids from the suburbs to pre-drink before heading out to the club district.

Anyway, this is my personal view and may not be true for all Cityplace condos. If i had a choice, i would find another building located right by the waterfront away from Cityplace or elsewhere downtown to live

@ PortoNuts: Hi PortoNuts, those buidlings might look like Toronto waterfront condos, but they're actually a bit far from the waterfront. But yeah I agree with you, they kind of look like condos beside the water.

@ gino lo spazzino: Thanks Gino, I have no idea but I'm glad Ditto answered the question for me hehe. Take a look at condos around Humber Bay, I think you'll like them also especially the ones in Marine Parade Drive and Waterfront Drive!

@ ditto: Hello Ditto, thanks for answering and for the info, I really have no idea how much they're selling for.

Ditto: Only € 282.000?! If is so, I'm go immidiately to Milan Malpensa Airport, I take the first flight to Toronto Pearson Int. Airport and i come buy home there. I say this because such house in Milan will required minimum € 700.000 (Canadian $ 940.000).
In the historical center of Milan for an apartment 50mq will also cost €540.000 (Canadian $ 725.000).
These price may increase to 10% if there is near metro station or near a police and carabinieri station. Thanks for reply.
Mark: I've seen those Palaces with google street view, Those house are beautiful and have a elegant style.
Your city is very well kept and your anglophones solutions for rendevelop of a street or square are truly exceptional.

Do you just amass a huge collection of T.O. pics and then upload one a day? Or do u really go out and get shots every single day from different vantage points of the city?

@ gino lo spazzino: Grazie! Very cool, I love the architecture!

@ MysticMcGoo: Hi there MMG! What's up? A little bit of both, actually. I just usually bring my camera with me every time I go out and take pictures of whatever's around or whatever catches my eye, like for example, I went to the dentist yesterday and had shot 2 pictures on my way, and today, I went downtown for a movie but wasn't able to take any.
But sometimes, if I go to events or places with a lot of interesting stuff, I take a lot of pictures and post them here as sets.
So the amount of pictures that I have vary, and most of the time, they ran out every week. When that happens I just pick up from past stocks that I don't really like to post haha.

@ christos-greece: Hi Chris, thanks! What's up? That park is located southeast of Yonge Street and Lawrence Avenue East intersection. It is a memorial park for the composer of the patriotic song The Maple Leaf Forever.

@ gino lo spazzino: Hi buddy, what's up? It's not really an office but a hotel. Stayed there the previous week so I took some pictures.

Photos like faces on the first day I arrived in New York after 9-hour flight from Milan-Malpensa.
I will come to Toronto at some point.
Ah, Mark, you who are a Canadian English, give me good wishes me, including 3 days I have an important english exam in my high school, written and oral, I practiced all summer, I hope it passes!
Ciao

Compared to Europe and parts of Asia, Toronto is relatively cheap. It is not uncommon for cities in N.A. to have cheaper home prices than Europe (i.e. Montreal, Chicago, Toronto, even Miami) I would expect New York City and Vancouver would have the most expensive real estate in U.S and Canada but that's due to their lack of land, which is similar to the situation in Europe and Asia.

However, be aware the real estate prices in Toronto have been trending down and there is a huge supply of new condo units coming into the market. Wait until winter and then you will notice a bigger bargain! You can definitely consider buying a house instead of a condo.

Mark, is that park the one that still has the old Maple Tree that inspired the song, The Maple Leaf Forever? I know the tree exists somewhere in Toronto, but I don't know where.

@ christos-greece: You're welcome bud!

@ gino lo spazzino: Hi Gino, yup visit us soon! I would love to see Milan in the future too!! Good luck with your exam, I'm sure you'll do great and pass it with flying colours! You're English is very good already, and the tenses are perfect. Just a little more practice and polishing, and I'm sure you'll ace all your exams! Good luck again, and if you need help practicing, just let me know.

@ Taller, Better: Oh, that's the Maple Leaf Forever Park at Memory Lane & Laing Street near Queen Street East & Leslie Street! I haven't been to that area yet so I'm not sure if the old famed tree is still there (I hope so). I will try to visit it soon!
