Wow, that roof construction is insanely good looking! Big up yourself, Liège. It's nice to see, that not all parts of the city is so depressing, grimy and run-down as portrayed in the movie "L'enfant" ;-)

Have you ever visited Liège yourself? It's certainly not the prettiest Belgian city, but don't expect a "L'Enfant"-city either. That movie (like all Dardenne-movies) isn't good publicity for Liège or Wallonia...

Have a look: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showth...hlight=li%E8ge

Lol, Liège is a charming city.

It is a dynamic city that feels meditarenean. A city that lives 24/7, not like the cities in Scandinavia with other words.

I've driven through Liège a couple of times, but I've never actually stayed in the city for longer than a handful of minutes. And don't worry, guys, I'm fully aware of the fact, that Liège is a nice and charming place. Actually, in my childhood I used to play a lot of Sensible Soccer, and along with Anderlecht and Arsenal, Standard Liège was amongst my preferred teams ;-)

Awesome train station. The curves make great photo opportunities.

Thanks for sharing. I love this structure. It does seem a bit over the top for a small city like Luik/Liege but who cares!

I have never visited Luik but drove through as most Dutch on the way to the South. I have seen on SSC that the center has very nice parts but the impression the concrete buildings along the river gives is not so sweet when you drive through it.

It's because the road taken by all dutch is a shortcut to avoid the nice part of the city. Take time to go in the city center next time

I will. But as I said I have seen in many threads here that the center has some very nice buildings. I'm sure this station will pay itself by bringing in tourists. There are lots of threads on Liege already in here.
