Interesting, it would be great to see Saville Street brounght back to how it used to be. If the BID are involved in it then i take back all my criticism of them.

Some of the work on Saville Street is turning offices above some shops into flats.

Have been informed by fit24 staff that the last empty unit on the foodcourt (next to Nandos) is let. An english restaurant apparently. They've already had people moving things in also as they needed to go in through the fit24 fire exit.
Also the guy who owns fit24 looked into getting the former gala bingo unit to make into a swimming pool but was told that it wouldn't be able to support a pool.

extension to the hairdresser looks to be complete. Looks good and with the final unit (next to Nandos) on that floor let to an english restaurant it's going to look great.

Another Sew It? That's three in the city now. He opened one on Newland about a month ago.

I didn't realise. Hopefully they last longer than his previous endeavours, namely Rockerfellas.

I hope they close down and he loses loads of money!
He's a complete nobhead. Advertised a job which I went for, got the "job" did a load of work then he didn't pay me and stayed out of contact with me. He's a class A del-boy that hides behind his companies image. I've heard how he's ripped loads of people off and taken loads of poeple on in the past and got them to do work for him, then not paid them. Use the other sewing shops in the city, this guy doesn't deserve people's custom. |

To be honest, I have heard similar stories.
I'll be surprised if he can sustain three shops (Newland, Princes Ave and Saville St) for any length of time. |

noticed the subway on whitefriargate has closed down which is strange as they're still expanding elsewhere and the footfall is still higher then cott rd or newland ave where others are. It's looking fairly empty on the southside of that street now.

the footfall may still be higher but the difference in rents will be the key factor. |

You've also got to ask the question of what kind of business mind is running that Subway. Friday and Saturday nights should be a goldmine for that place, yet it's alsway closed. The ones on Princes and Newland Aves are alsway busy at that time. If they can't make the best of that opportunity, it's better off closing down.

Shoetech Ltd are opening up in Prinny Quay. Though according to their jobs adverts, they believe they're moving into somewhere called 'Princess Keys Centre'.

It looks like some of the empty units down Whitefriargate have been spruced up to smarten up the street. Frontages have been tidied up and painted cream to blend in with most of the other shops on the south side. Betfred have also moved in to where Teddys amusements used to be.
